Kookaburra sits in the old Gum Tree

One of my fave (Australian) birds... I never tire of listening to them laughing...

Yes, I know that some of the photos are 'big' but I seem to have so much on my plate of doing stuff I wasn't going to mess around with making them smaller...

Well, after having finding out today they are finally up to our month in the adoption and basically 3 days from our date... so, if things go the way they are now... we could hear something by January/February 2010... fingers crossed things keep going smoothly the way they are. Our agency is even sending us papers to get ready for our call... quiet exciting... like I said... our fingers are crossed all keeps going well.

@Calusarus: Nothing sweeter and I use to love getting some ground meat and the birds would come down to our railing on our porch and eat from your hand... they are gorgeous...

@Judy: Yeah... this is an early shot... I had ran out of photos and so was searching through my older stuff... it is my day off work tomorrow so I am heading up to the bridge that goes into Melbourne and see if I can find anything interesting...

Wonderful capture of this bird and a reminder of the song which will be stuck in my head for the night, but thats a good thing brings back lots of fond memories

@JJ: Oh don't worry... I have been singing the song all night... actually it is driving me nuts and funny you should say it is in your head... as I did forget it for a while and you just put it back in mine... hahahaha
